Screencasting

Excel

Assignment Title: Screencasting
Uses in the Classroom: This is an excellent tool for preparing videos for a flipped math classroom. It can be used to prepare "how to" videos. For example, you can prepare a screencast that shows students  how to use calculators. You can use screencast to put together lessons that are mostly descriptive. For instance, a lesson on nets and surface areas can be done using screencast. It can also be used in collaboration with other tools like educreations. You can screencast your lessons on educreations or other tools with interactive whiteboard and share the video with your students through google or burn it on a disc for those who do not have internet access at home.
Issues to Consider: Availability of cameras, microphones, and internet when making the videos.
